This book was a cute read that I downloaded for 2 reasons: Meghan Quinn and the fact that it was free.

It didn’t disappoint, but didn’t necessarily dazzle me either. I have never read anything I didn’t like from Meghan Quinn. I tend to think of them as almost Hallmark Movie-like books with a sprinkle of spice to them. This book, although I didn’t hate it, was a little slow in places for me.

Myles and Tessa are so adorable together, but the supporting characters truly just annoyed me. I wanted to punch Roxanne in the face so many times! There was some witty parts in the book that I enjoyed that had me laughing. Definitely a quick and easy read. Not great, not terrible.

I read this book as a novel study with my students this year. My husband had been begging me to read this series, but I kept putting it off out of fear that it would disappoint. (I’m a huge fan of the movies)

Luckily, I found myself wanting to throw out lesson plans just so we could read more in class! The parallels you find in this book are so well done, and it creates a great foundation for some really good conversations. Definitely excited to read more of the series.
