Well you've convinced me to read the whole series now. This is what I want when I read a book-I want to be wholly convinced that this is a real world and while I know it's not...I want it to be. I loved Tessa and Wes.. and Quint and Prince Corrick..and Rocco. Haha the King is okay, but I just feel like something else is going on with him, so once I dive into book #2 that will hopefully be more clear. This is a great read if you're not into spice and you are into a whole lot of world building.

I cried in the first 50 pages of this book because of the 13 year old boy and his mom. As a mom myself, it was just gut wrenching and I wanted so badly to step in and make it stop. This is always how I know a book is normally going to be a 5 star for me... when I want to step in and help.

I am trying really hard not to give anything away, but please pick this book up. Make it a part of your collection. Hold on tight to this world, because it is so good.

This book is like watching a cheesy Hallmark movie, but in a good way. The plot is crystal clear, there really isn't any surprises, but I was okay with that. I love the FMC. She is so cute and bubbly and I see a lot of myself in her. I love that she is a plus size woman. Representation is always important...plus she owns a library and I loved that. The FMC is a demon and before that scares you off, just know he is a nerdy demon who is down BAAAAAD for the FMC. I love that he has a book IG. It was cute.

What can I say about this book... At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. The FMC has a sass and wit that I love, but I got worried when she fell for the MMC because it kind of felt like a damsel in distress situation, but I was pleasantly surprised when a meeting was held and we met the MMC of what would become the next book. Hey Evander... I am talking about you boo.

Anyways, I love the world building. I love Felix-even though he does do something that I wasn't anticipating. This book had me and you can imagine that when I saw book #2 I ran straight into it. I love how the author described their relationships and the character development?? FANTASTIC.

I really can't wait to re read this series.

Gahhhhhh.... Do you want a slow burn?? HI IT IS THIS BOOK. I can still remember how I felt when I read this book. The enemies to lovers was sooooooo GOOOOOOOOOD. I was getting so annoyed(in the best way possible) with the push and the pull of the two main characters in this book. I remember telling my sister how frustrated(in the best way possible) that they weren't together yet. It was perfection for me. And when they did get together?? I still loved it. I have found with alot of enemies to lovers that once they get together, it gets boring. Not here. Not this book. I fell in love with their story more once I knew what their connection was.

All of the friends in this book are amazing as well. They all make me laugh so hard and I appreciated that they had an active role.

The end of this book will break your heart, so you can't say you haven't been warned.

Now book #3 where are you...
