I didn’t know the author before finding this book on netgalley, and I also didn’t know it was the book 2 hihi! So after reading the first book, which I loved and fell in love with, it was such a pleasure to read another story sets in the same universe. I love how the Talented universe is built, with its good and bad sides. I also love the diversity of characters present, though I have a preference for the funny ones (Rhosyn and Kristoff). Also, gay couples??? YES PLEASE!! And I can’t even talk about the SPICYNESS between our characters, the piano scene nearly ended me!!!! It was such a beautiful retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood! I will be reading other books from the talented S.C. Grayson!

This book was so well written. There could have been literally nothing happening and I would have still continue to read. That’s how beautiful the writing was. As for the story, I cried, I laughed, I smiled. I fell in love with Addie and I will be thinking about this book until the day I die. I will, without hesitation, read all the other books from the talented V.E. Schwab.

I was genuinely surprised by the way this book was written. Unlike a lot of thrillers, I found this one to be beautifully written, focusing more in depth on the characters and their feelings. It was dark, gore, disgusting, but I couldn’t put it down. It’s the type of book where you love to hate the characters. The end was chef kiss

Should definitely come with a trigger warning! Except that, I adored the book, but was less attached to the story/characters than with Saving Noah, but couldn’t tell u why. Once again, Berry’s writting is flawless and totally on point. I love the fact that she was actually a therapist, and love to think she was a bit like Lisa.

I cannot put into words what this book made me feel. It COMPLETELY changed my view on the world, and now I don’t think I’ll ever be the same. That’s how much that book, with its writing, its taboo subjects, its less-than-perfect characters and just everything is powerful. From the moment I read the summary to the last page, I’ve been confronted to everything I ever believed in, and that’s exactly what I like, what I search, in books. I loved every minutes of it. I- I cannot write anything else about this book, I am way too busy being flabbergasted by it. It is, truly, an incredible book.

My second book from this author, and I am not disappointed. I loved seeing the evolution of Daniel and Megs, their story touched me a lot. Loved the character of Michael. I did guess the plot-twist mid-book, unlike The Family across the street, but I still enjoyed it. A great book that challenges our perception of the world.

I read this book in one sitting. I literally sat down in my backyard, and when I lifted my head, three hours had passed. It’s really well written, it is so gripping, and the twist?!?! One of the best psychological thriller I have ever read, and I will absolutely start reading Nicole Trope’s other books.
The characters are well described, and I got attached to them quickly. It is an incredible skill that the author has to get the readers to get attached even to the “monsters” of the story. I rarely give 5 stars to a story, but I definitely give it to this one.
