This was a good palate cleanser but not a literary award winner by any means. I thought I had guessed the twist but was surprised. However, some suspension of belief is required to enjoy the story. And Tricia was a bit grating at times.

However, the narrator for the audiobook did great. I listened to this on my commute and enjoyed it. If I was reading it in print or ebook, I probably would have skipped.

Read this for a book club on Fable. What a cute read! Lots of cute moments with a plucky protagonist and a gaggle of lovable side characters. Some of the misunderstandings between Oz and Mariel felt a little extra by the end but it was understandable considering the whole situation (vague to not give spoilers). I’ll definitely check out the next in the series.

This had been on my TBR for far too long and I can’t believe I didn’t read it sooner. Marcellus was a fantastic character and I loved every chapter of his. I did listen to the audiobook as well as read the ebook. I loved the narrators! Tova pulled at my heartstrings and she was unforgettable. Loved reading this!

Enjoyed reading this! I was barking up the wrong tree the entire time. By the end, I felt like the meme from It’s Always Sunny (in a good way). The dysfunctional family layer threw me off much more than I expected. Going to look for more of the authors works now!

Just an FYI for Kindle users. My edition had some formatting errors with hyphens in random words. It’s minor but it distracted me a bit. It doesn’t affect my rating at all.

Wonderful novel! Beautifully written and a lush setting that was so unique! I adored the style of writing, it made me feel fully immersed in the story. The narrator in the audiobook was also fantastic!

Very fun read! Loved how Anna felt relatable and the Twilight fandom references definitely gave me a giggle. You go into it knowing how the book will end but you’ll love every minute of the ride.
