A sad yet cute and hopeful book, very reflective.
It talks a lot about common problems that are often silenced in Japan, which is refreshing.

It was an incredible read and adventure.

The only thing that makes it not a 5 stars read to me was that it was quite difficult to get into. But keep holding on, I'm glad I did, it will all be put together in the end and once you start to understand, it just gets better and better!

A lovely book with a established simple yet efficient universe of magic creatures interacting with humans and their world.

Sadly, it is a bit too slow for me at the beginning though I can see how some people might like this pace. The main character is a bit cold at the beginning and it is acknowledged, but the wait for her to show a bit more emotions is maybe too much?
And it took me about half the book to become really invested in the plot.

Though once you're in, you're in! And the side characters help the main ones shine in the best of way. I found myself rooting for everyone and I can't wait for the next book to come out now !

Absolutely marvelous, dare I say better than the first book of the series?
A prequel finely written with great characters, all lovable despite some flaws.

I could say a lot about it but I fear I'd say too much.
Please take the time to read it !
