This book is the exploration of a part-time teacher / house wife's life who is questioning if there is more to life than what she has at the moment.

Although this story is told with a Palestinian lens, since the main character's parents emigrated from Palestine, I truly believe that every married woman will find herself in this story.

Not only does it explore marriage, but professional fulfillment, personal fulfillment, which for a woman is mostly  encapsulated in marriage, motherhood, or girl bossing, but all those are "job" not really what we are are a whole. It questions culture, traditions, and women's places in the world, and I dare say what it is to be a whole human.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the end was not exactly what I was thinking , but there's so much in this book that is thought-provoking  that I would recommend it to everyone.
