The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Ok it's been a couple of days since I read this book and I finally feel like I can leave an accurate review. I am glad I read this book like 10 years after its peak, otherwise I would have found it extremely overrated. That being said, although I found the dialogue extremely ridiculous at times, I really enjoyed the wit in it. There were times where I wondered if what the characters were saying was supposed to be a joke or if they were serious. I really hope they were all jokes cause if they were, I love this. Otherwise, I have no words. Either way I don't know why I am pretending this is just a ridiculous book when actually I cried like a baby during the last like 30 pages. Anyway, I actually enjoyed it and while I still think it is a bit overrated, I also kind of get the hype.

I almost didn't finish this because I found Eleanor 's character extremely boring and unlikeable (for some reason her thoughts really bothered me). It took me about 100 pages to really get into it, but I am glad I did. It took a while before I understood the main character, but once I did I was really moved by Eleanor and I wanted to keep reading. By the end of the book I was actually fond of her.

I had heard so much about this book and t the beginning I have to say that I was really disappointed. At the end, I didn't hate this book but I didn't love it either like I thought I would. I an glad I finished it, though.
