i guess you can say i’m a we were liars apologist.

i always love plots about rich, glorified, surface-level perfect families with deep down fucked up relationships that are only held together by greed because, you know, you’d expect their tragic downfall. it just hit dangerously too close to home. i found the liars interesting — sheltered, privileged, and stupid — but also so done with their family bullshit with high hopes for the future.

i don’t see this as a mystery book or a romance. maybe that’s why i liked it.
