I enjoyed this series when I was younger, and as an adult rereading it I still enjoyed it but not as much. It seemed like the solutions to most of the challenges were solved with some “knowing” of the past and the reader didn’t really journey along to discover the answers.

I loved the first book and I knew it would be hard for the second to feel the same for me. The subject matter is so important and I am glad stories like this exist. However, this story just didn’t have the same grasp as the first.
