This book had a faster paced and was more engaging then the first. One thing I still can't stand is every time her grandmother calls her the Cherokee translation for daughter, it's explained like it was the first time which got annoying really fast. And for a book that is aimed more at teens, is it just me or isn't it a little disturbing when overtly sexual scenes come up. But I guess when I step back and think about it, most teens would even rate this PG-13.
