I must admit that I didn't quite understand the book. It had less of a plot than any other book, and I felt the characters weren't that well fleshed out. I wished it was longer and more occurred in the novel. The bleakness of it was nice however, it did invoke feelings in me that were conjured up slightly while reading the Ice palace but it didn't resonate in me as much
