I really enjoyed this easy read about friends and family and hope that when I am in my older years, my friends and I can hang out with our thermos of Tom Collins and live in a slightly alchol induced buzz at all times.

This is the first horror book I ever read, in the 6th grade. It scared the death out of me, I was fascinated that Stephen King would give such emotion and voice to such young characters and I am still scared of sewer grates and clowns.

I used to love John Saul as an author, especially in high school so I didn't know how I would feel about picking up one of his books after so many years but this book was an easy read about an interesting concept. I don't think it is anyone must-read list but it was interesting.

I read this book in 1 sitting, start to finish, and while the premise was interesting, the storyline ended up falling flat for me and wrapped up too quickly and neatly for me in the end.

I just loved this book. I read it several years ago and then recommended it again for my book club. I liked seeing these women, thrust together because the proximity in which they live and end up growing old together. I could picture my neighbors and freinds in these women.
I do wish one character didn't have everything wrap up with her getting pregnant and life being so "perfect" if you were but otherwise I enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends

Like most of Anita Shreve's books it was a slow moving story about people. It was fine to read but I kept waiting for something to happen.

This is one of the few cases in which I read the book after the movie. I was so happy to learn about so many facets of the characters and their stories which the movie couldn't begin to cover. Very compelling.

I read the version of the book that included picture and illustrations to items it referenced (buldings, locations, paintings) so it made reading it much easier and I was much more intrigued by having evidence of what the author was sitting right in front of me.

Mindless read. I never know which books of Picoult I will like or dislike. This one was very predictable.

I think I called my friend who gave me this book and scolded her about how pointless this book was.
