really enjoyed the themes of this book, personally thinking it was about colonisation and the loss of culture, but it was a little bit boring sometimes. other times it was interesting and beautiful. People say this is Yoko Ogawa’s best book, but I’d disagree and say that’d probably be Revenge or Mina’s Matchbox, even tho i usually prefer dystopians.
