The book is divided into three parts, which is not an issue at all. I read the entire first part, 30%, and could not bring myself to read it any further. I just really disliked all the characters and that made it so hard for me to want to read any more. Both characters felt very whiny and their inner monologues (Dual POV) were just not it for me. Just because it wasn't for me doesn't mean it won't be for someone else.

I really enjoyed this book! I didn’t know it was book 3 in a series when I got it but since it is an interconnected stand alone series I didn’t feel like I was diving into the middle of something. Maybe a little more tension on the romance side would be nice but also given the history of the characters the pace still made sense. The twists at the end were a nice touch and I enjoyed the epilogue and how it wrapped up Nico and Kat’s story. I can see myself reading more from the series.

I didn’t quite vibe with this book the way I hoped I would. The story was there and was interesting but I don’t think the writing style is for me. I really struggled in the beginning and it wasn’t until about 30% in I finally had a groove reading. It also felt like there was a shift in the writing at that point. It felt more solid.
The point of the FMC being a school teacher seemed irrelevant to the story itself.
The spice was alright. I know the end was set up to prepare for book two but if felt like such a sudden shift in the characters that didn’t flow well.

Someone take away my historical fictions. I love that so many I’ve read, including this one focus so heavily on women and the unfairness of our lives but also our strength and bravery in the face of that unfairness. Especially given the climate of our world right now these books are more important than normal. I would’ve been burned at the stake or arrested for communism if I was Charlotte, Lysette, or Milly and it would’ve been worth it because these books show us that we, as women, are capable. These characters are the types of women we need in the world now and I love that authors are giving them their voices.

A short, sweet, slightly unhinged novella. As always this was such a fun listen. It was nice to see all three couples from the Ruinous Love Trilogy interact with each other as a family. Is killing serial killers a family sport we should pick up? Probably not. But it was still fun.

Told from two points in time that eventually merge into one, this story was an intriguing read in the best way. Watching the characters and the stories unfold with the back and forth until the timelines finally meet was a great presentation of the story. The themes of what we would do to protect the people we love and how history is perceived were gripping. Nothing really caught me off guard in terms of plot twists but they were still great twists. When you want to pull the characters out of a story or jump into it to make them behave, you know it’s a good book! And the writing style is easily one of my favorites.

The story was good. It was cute and funny and all the things a romcom should be. I just really didn’t like Petra’s character and how if felt like her personality shifted every other chapter. The first chapter she was this chaos gremlin and hell bent on not letting anything change that then half way through she’s this lovesick puppy. Bryce’s growth felt like growth and you could see his shift but Petra’s just felt off hand and inconsistent. The book was not bad but it definitely felt like it was missing something.

Ahhhhh! Words are hard. This book was perfection! The characters, the world, the dialogue. Not only do you love the MCs but also the side characters which is so important in stories. The flow was perfect. It slow burned just enough and when you reached the end it was worth the wait. This is going to be an amazing series and I am dying to find out what happens next with Aradia and Soren. I loved the banter and watching them grow. Midas was also easily one of my favorite side characters!

This was a great read! If I didn’t have to do life I probably would’ve finished it in one sitting! The characters are well developed, the story gives you enough lore at just the right times without overwhelming you. It took me a while to catch onto one of the plot twists but the other was kind of obvious, that’s not a bad thing. I’m an instant forgetter of books after I read them but I know this one had some great quotes. Also, I would love for someone to call me Chaos as a term of endearment!

Wasn't for me doesn't mean it's not for you.
DNF at 30% and even that was hard. The pacing felt slow and getting so much of the main character’s thoughts felt unnecessary because a lot of it was just off hand comments about other characters or situations that didn’t seem to matter. I was already struggling to get through it but the second time I read “my bitch and my bike” I just lost all interest.
