"And whatever you do, don’t ever get involved with those boys of the Skull & Serpent Society."

This was unbearable.

“Whenever you start doubting yourself,” she said, turning back to the audience, “whenever you feel afraid, just remember. Courage is the root of change—and change is what we’re chemically designed to do. So when you wake up tomorrow, make this pledge. No more holding yourself back. No more subscribing to others’ opinions of what you can and cannot achieve. And no more allowing anyone to pigeonhole you into useless categories of sex, race, economic status, and religion. Do not allow your talents to lie dormant, ladies. Design your own future. When you go home today, ask yourself what you will change. And then get started.”

Elizabeth Zott, I love you 🫶🏻

"I love her. She’s social. I’m not. She loves crowds and noise. I don’t. She hates school, and I could keep going forever. She’d risk her life just to feel a rush, while I consider my choices too much. She’s so much like Kade, but she fits my heart like she was cut from it. It’s always been hers."

I'm just basically 'what the hell, sure-ing' my way everytime I read about the side plot of the Winslet girl 🤷🏻‍♀️ Loved the couple tho!

“You are significant,” I say quietly, still staring up at the screen. “Scientists say that nearly all the atoms in our bodies were made in a star. And many of those atoms have traveled through several supernovas.” I pause, seeing her look over at me out of the corner of my eye. “You weren’t born here. You were born billions of years ago, Aro. You’re stardust.” I look over, meeting her eyes. “The stars don’t need to see you. They know you.”

The romance was top notch but the side mysterious plot got me confused as hell and I'm still not sure I understand what's going on.

"No one else can make you happy, and putting that expectation on the other person will doom both of you. You don’t look at someone and say “you can make my life better.” You look at them and say “I can make your life better.” Be a blessing, not a burden."

“And even so, without you in my life, I’m not happy. For better or worse, you’ve been my other half since I was ten years old, and I can’t imagine a future I’d want without you in it. You’re the love of my life.”

"I had set out to turn Juliet’s world upside down—draw her out—but in the end, it was me who had his world flipped on its side. I’d fought for her, but she’d fought for me, too, and even though I’d been scared to let her in, it was all worth it."

“I can’t change the past, Tate. I wish I could, because I’d go back and relive every day that I existed without you, and I’d make sure that you smiled. Every minute of my future belongs to you.”
