The Plumb siblings are horrible and self-righteous. While I enjoyed Sweeney's writing style, I couldn't stand any of the people she was writing about, or the things she chose to highlight about them. To be honest I only read it for a book club.
Really enjoyed it. Wish they had spent a little more time explaining the structure of the present post-apocalyptic world instead of it being an almost even split between the past and the present.
