Overall not a terrible book It kept me interested for the most part, I just really hate new adult books that have a protagonist that is freshly 18 years old, with men that are a few years older than her and more experience. I didn't know that when I started the book so obviously once I started reading I aged everyone up in my head a little bit more, cuz I don't care about a virginal woman per se But like this girl was essentially a feral girl and all of a sudden she's like super into this crazy dark sex shit I don't know not for me.

But overall interesting storyline, I'm a little bummed out we don't get to actually see her bring down the church but overall it was a decent book.

I get why everyone on booktok is hyping this book up! It's a great easy read, characters are decently developed, pace is good more fast, but in a good way. The ending is holy shit I need the next book. The dragons felt more original and I loved learning about their magic system and how they choose their riders.

Only reason it's not a 5 ⭐ is some words she choose to use, author said (for the win) a few times, and it just felt out of place in the book, and she used a few real world slang/terms that didn't vibe with me personally.

I read using an audiobook, and unfortunately the narrator was suuuuper sick reading this book. You could hear a few times her snort boogers, or gulp them down as she was breathing (which was so wheezy cuz she was sick). It was really bad in the beginning, but got better about 60% through, but you could still tell she was sick/recovering. So don't do the audiobook unless you're ok with it 🙃🙃

Literally an amazing book I soooobbed reading this book, was a bit predictable at points but literally loved it so much. Was a fun but emotional read, I really loved all the growth the characters had

Was a quick fun read, but FMC was 38 but acted very 21. I know she ages more slowly than a human but it felt weird to me.

Also there's soooo many real life references in this book it's unbearable. When I'm reading a book I don't want to read irl things in my books it just takes me out and on almost every page there's a reference to irl things.

Overall cute story and good writing, just a few things that took me out of the book and made me have to take a break. Will not continue with the rest of the series tho 🙃

Honestly I was expecting more from the book with it being compared to the hunger games (the bachelor party was ok) but the only resemblance of the hunger games was calling them tributes and then some.of the trials, I get that the author is just trying to use big names to get her book read but there's so much more to the hunger games then just the games. So to say this is similar doesn't feel right.

Yes there was some harrowing experiences, but not enough to be compared to Hunger Games.

Overall storyline is good, plot predicable, especially since the author pretty much writes it out for you. I'll read the next book and hopefully it'll be better.

A good freaking book, nicely written, a twist at the end I wasn't expecting (I read a lot, I predict alot of endings) not really spicy but when there was spice it was done well. Seriously love Jeneane O'riely
