really annoyed by the "she left" shit the male character is giving his mom and I just don't have the patience to wait and see him figuring this out trough the end.

but it was a great romance!

I've loved Susanna Clarke's writing before, but this one is feeling like a chore. It's well written, but I'm not interested in the characters nor in the world.
