second read, loved it just as much as the first time! wanted to refresh as maria semple is visiting my local bookstore next week. little tastes of home all throughout, funny, and filled with great characters.
i wanted to like this book but i could not. although the writing was poetic, it prevented me from investing in the plot, and the characters never developed enough for me to care
