In general I thought this story was pretty good and has a lot of potential but I really hate love triangles and this one was particularly insufferable. And the cast of characters was not at all diverse. This is the author’s first published novel though so I’m looking forward to seeing how they improve through the rest of the series

Too many POVs and timelines that didn’t connect together well. POV sections were so short that it was difficult to keep track of what was happening or develop a connection to any characters.
