Overall this book gives you some practical tips to deal with difficult people but really boils down to expecting them to be difficult.

it also gives you a little nudge that sometimes, you are your own biggest energy vampire.

I really enjoyed the part about goals, D.U.M.B goals and habit change.

Our girl saves herself, knows how to fight and there's a shadow daddy?!

There's more I can hype about but those three things are really all you need.

This was a fun, quick read.

A huge dash of spice, a little suspense and a whole lot of fun!

I going to start this by saying this was kind of weird. I won't spoil Simi's partner but it was weird that our trip through there journey started when she was a kid even if she was actually older then him.

They are demons I know but still 1000 year old demon who looks like a toddler and a demon who thinks he's a human at 21. It didn't develop fast, this is a sloooooow burn (we're talking centeries) but still a little on the ick.

With that being said I did find parts of this hilarious, especially the perks of Ash as a dad and dealing with his kid growing up. And the peek inside Simi's head to know she goes through what everyone does as we realize we hurt people or get hurt by them.

This was a unique story. I loved the story with some slow burn, some murder mystery mixed with fantasy and a dash of romance.

Davina struggles with accepting all of herself and her past and our assassin is just there to support her and help her.

There were some plot twists and betrayals that you don't see coming.

The switch between POVs is seamless.

I would love some deeper dives into internal motivations that really help you see the characters emotions about the plot developments.

For a debut novel it's a great story! I can't wait to see what happens next.

I absolutely loved this take on Greek myth. It's very unique with a modern twist and I highly recommend it.

This book is lovely and thought provoking. It drives home what being a woman is like and the loss of history and practices that weren't passed down as the world shifted.

Following the journey of our MC through her history form birth to death is thought provoking, joyful and sorrowful much like life.

Morally grey, tragic back story, really the Batman we all need.

At no point did I guess the true origin story, want a neat surprise.

It reads like a journal of a man who loses everything and just take what opportunities he finds.

Dash of Dexter, Dash of Batman. Quick and fun read.

The whole first half all I wanted to do was snack some sense into Gen, her sister was on the save wave length, thank the gods.

I loved the added POVs and can't wait to see how this new romance develops.

Our found family is one force to reccon with and I know they are gonna shake some stuff up.

Also Otar is still BFF goals!
