"Ugliness exists only where humans have altered the landscape"
I added Exquisite to my GoodReads TBR when I first joined in 2015/2016 and just never got around to it.
It was a well paced psychological thriller, focusing on an unhinged woman (or two?). Nothing groundbreaking, but I did get pissed off with Bo and Alice was quite easily taken in. Overall, a quick, entertaining read.

Dog Men ended up being much better than I thought it was going to be. Stories where Harry doesn't have the solution are always good and shows he isn't completely unstoppable. The dog men were great. The artwork for the ghouls was good.
Another Dresden instalment with the prodecural feel to it, and a pretty simple case at the centre. A fun story, but I would've liked a bit more from the female character that spends the majority of the book with Harry and more of Murphy would've been good, too.
See review for Storm Front novel.
It's been ages since I've read a Dresden Files book. It was great to be back in the world. The artwork is great. I've read 17 novels and a load of short stories set in this world with these characters and the artwork really brought them to life. The plot was good and had a logical conclusion. I've missed Thomas, Murphy and Harry. Molly was fab too.
Ryan and Frank remain the highlight of these books for me. While this book was far from a favourite instalment, I settle into these books so quickly and just feel like I’m catching up with old friends. I honestly, love these characters and feel for them with what they've been through. Unfortunately, the plot felt a little lacklustre and repetitive, making the book feel overly long. On top of that, the ending felt rushed. There are definitely some loose ends (Anna’s book, Mel's sabbatical, Ryan’s feeling of unease about his house because of past events, is The Circle back? I hope not!).
