Dress Codes for Small Towns by Courtney C. Stevens
4.0
I didn't realise this was so church heavy, I guess it makes sense with being small town in Southern America. I guess for other people it might be even light on it.
It deals with the pressure of figuring out who are, with growing up in a small town who are watching you pretty well.

The Men Who Stare at Goats by Jon Ronson

Listening to the Sean Mangan version of this book is weird when you know what Ronson looks and sounds like and know that he is definitely not American. Clearly a casting choice in favour of the American attention it would be getting when the film released with it's only American characters. There is a audible book verison with Ronson (that's an hour shorter than Mangan verison).
This isn't Ronson's best work, but think it explores the weirdness of the US Army pretty well.

The Innocent Wife by Amy Lloyd

Interesting idea, but I didn't want to spend anytime with these characters.
The audiobook production it's self was well done. Just the plot and characters let it down. Also, Visas were never mentioned.
Also something like your ex-boyfriend being conveniently blinded in one eye after you break up is the sort of the thing that makes it's way into media attention.
