Financial Feminist: Overcome the Patriarchy's Bullsh*t to Master Your Money and Build a Life You Love by Tori Dunlap

Great resource especially if you’ve never had any personal finance education. All the basics are right here. I’ve never interacted with any of Tori’s other work but I assume if you listen to the podcast or have used the website a lot of this may be redundant as it is the roundup of the most important personal finance tools resources and practices. I liked how she included input from other finance people.
I felt like I knew a lot of this stuff already but it doesn’t hurt to be reminded. I liked how there was step by step guides on how to do stuff. There probably could’ve been more guidance and insight on how to invest. Especially since she promoted her own service a lot. But overall I would definitely give this to anyone looking to start their personal finance journey

Reading this 12 years after publication is interesting. I hope she eventually publishes a follow up regarding social media and how it affects the two types. I’m at a point in my life where I’m exhausted by personality types along with their accompanying tests and quizzes. At times it can feel very limiting to view people as only fitting into either category. That’s not the point of this book that’s just me and my view points coming into this book. All that being said I really related to all the points and stories made about introverts and do still feel like we live in an extrovert centered world but that’s it’s slowly becoming more acceptable and respected when people set their boundaries around their socializing needs. This also did not bash extroverts, just demonstrated how the types may differ in certain situations and how US society catering to extroversion and boisterousness over shy reserved people.

This is a watered down, more repetitive version of the original artists way. Please read or reread TAW. it’s more instructive and helps you dig deeper. I might I’ve liked this more if it had been a lot longer since I read TAW. the main thing she introduces in this book is weekly walks. There of course insightful snippets but I feel like she was really trying to hit that page count with this one!! Definitely needed to be edited down and refined. But if it’s been several years since you read TAW and want to check in with your inner artist and the great creator as it were, then this might be good for you
