originally went looking for a copy of the cicada n found this instead !! a littl scared n endeared. shaun tan's art alrdy felt so surreal, in luv w his textures even the two pg spread of Red was such an insane thing to look at, but all of these stories n worlds also paired so well with each other on top of that ,there is so much to love. exists beyond anything i can wrap my head around n still feels familiar, made me remember why i still love reading picture books :)
