I loved the themes of gaining the courage to leave an abusive relationship. I thought the last part was kind of unnecessary but the story about
their abusive relationship and how they murdered the Lord was fantastic!

In my mind, I was God's lovely angel of judgement, come to unsheathe the sword of divine wrath against those who truly deserved it.

Fun read!
I really thought I knew what the plot twist was going to be, but I guess I didn't.

A psychological study demonstrated that cheating or breaking rules results in an unexpectedly good mood afterward. As well as a brief sense of freedom from all rules. So perhaps we should all bend the rules sometimes.

I believe that any human being is capable of terrible things if you could you push them hard enough.

WOW! I loved this book from start to finish. What an interesting concept.

Does "justice" change any of what he did? Any of what we went through? Does it bring the girls in glass back to life?
Well, no, but it keeps him from doing it again.
So would his death, and without the sensationalism and tax money.

I didn't remind myself of them, didn't strain to keep them in my memory, because they were indelibly written there.

Not making a choice is a choice. Neutrality is a concept, not a fact. No one actually gets to live their lives that way.

Really interesting concept but I feel like it could have been executed better. I think it should have been more dragged out, it was a bit too fast for me. The twist was great tho!

We're drinking to our new home with the blood of our old.

I enjoyed this book. I'm kinda surprised if it has the low views that I've seen, but I thought it was interesting. I liked the mix of fantasy lore with modern day technology. I will say that Ali Hazelwood's characters seem to be very similar as far as the FMC is concerned. But I do like that they are generally more mature and aren't whiny.

Wow! Another hit by BROM. I love this one as much as I loved Slewfoot. Love the setting, characters and story. SO fantastic!

I was evil because I chose to be, not because I had to be. That choice, that sane, rational choice, is what made me truly evil.

I liked the MMC but the FMC drove me nuts. I am liking the branching out of this world tho.

Okay I will say the back half of this book really had me locked in. I still think America is one of the worst characters in history. BUT I found myself gasping at some scenes and feeling hurt and anxiety for her so the slow build of this series definitely did something to my heart.

I enjoyed the writing style but it seemed a bit of a repeat trope for me. But it was generally a cute little story. I did find the MMC's backstory to be kind of outlandish but I guess I'm not wealthy enough to understand it as a possibility.
