Cinder by Marissa Meyer

I absolutely loved this book. I am usually a sow reader but this has only took me 6 evenings to read. I love the twist of the cinderella into something modern and futuristic. I did have an idea of who Cinder was from the beginning but it didn't spoil it for me. I had a lump with Peony and was annoyed with Kai. Amazing book definitely recommend it.
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden

This was a re-read for me. I found it was a little slow going than I remember but about half way through the pace really picked up and enjoyed the story line. How it ends is clear it is there is a other book. I struggled with the pronouncing the names but I just said it in my head how I thought. Definitely recommend. Love all thr mystical creatures and gods involved in it. I think this was the first book that got me into fantasy and I can see why
Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell

I really enjoyed this book. I might be weird but Sleeping Beauty is my least favourite princess story as I just don't understand how it could all happen. In this story she has to find her way and become independent and strong and it is all on her not on a Prince to save her. Great twist of the original story.

I felt it was slow going at first and not sure if I liked the story line until it all started going wrong. One scene was a little too graphic for my liking but overall a good read and good ending all things considered what happened.
