I poured all my blood, sweet and tears in completing this book, now I feel like a conqueror after finishing this beast
Just a question, that why is it marketed as a war book instead of a love story ?
My Place by Sally Morgan is a memoir that chronicles the author's journey of self-discovery and her exploration of her Aboriginal heritage. The book focuses on Sally's childhood and her relationship with her family, particularly her grandmother and mother. As Sally uncovers the hidden truths about her Aboriginal roots, she reflects on the challenges of growing up in a society that discriminates against Indigenous people. The narrative is a blend of personal and cultural history, exploring themes of identity, belonging, and the impact of colonization on Indigenous Australians. Through the lens of her own life, Sally Morgan highlights the importance of reclaiming one's cultural heritage and the journey toward healing and self-acceptance.
