Well what should i say!! After all those reviews i had to see for myself how horrifying this short story is and I'm not disappointed. Being a kind of person that doesn't get disturbed easily but reading this was awfully gruesome. It was fun read tho

Why didn’t i read it sooner? If I can go back in time then i’d probably give this book to my 13 years old self. It’s not just a book, its a collection of her memories, her thoughts, her experience and it shows how her thinking changes in this short period of 2 years.
To tell the truth, i was quite afraid to read this, as i thought it would be little too depressing. Though i was incredibly sad knowing the fate of Anne and her family, but the diary was charming and witty in some ways.

There was this line which kinda reminded of me in this current situation.
“Must I keep thinking about those other people, whatever I’m doing? And if I want to laugh about something, should I stop myself quickly and feel ashamed that I’m cheerful? Ought I then to cry the whole day long”
But have to tell staying home because of Covid is much more better than being confined to the top floor of a building with your family because of Nazis.

My final thought after reading her diary was if only she had lived, what an extraordinary writer she would’ve been.

Some Quotes i liked
Paper has more patience than people.
Feelings can’t be ignored, nomatter how unjust or ungrateful they seen.
If only I can be myself, I’ll be satisfied .
You can be lonely even when you’re love by many people since you’re still not anybody’s one and only.

After seeing everyone comparing this book with Gone Girl and Girl on the train.. i was excited to start this book.
well i have mix feelings, in the first half i struggled to turn the pages.. it was too descriptive for me. The second half was a wild ride and what a surprising plot twist. A decent read, would recommend if you're into psychological thriller.

As i saw so many reviews here saying this book have completely baffled them and i’ve to tell this is Insane.
There is never ending plot throughout the book untill at last it all makes sense. Well i didn’t understand it at first, i have reread the ending and also have to read some spoiler reviews to completely understand it but wtf did i just read.
