Where the first book was the perfect representation of a young woman feeling lost and insecure, the second part shows us how much strength her character has and how despite everything she lives her life at her best and is free. I’ve never feel so seen as by Elif.

A new all time favourite book. Ellis captures the 80s and the nature of teenagers and the violence and insecurity of youth in a perfect way. Could not put it down, i was hooked from the first sentence. He has the talent to not make you feel like a voyeur looking into the life of the characters but like a part of the world their inhabitate.
