I don’t normally read/listen to memoirs, but I’m incredibly glad I took the leap and listened to this one. McCurdy narrates the audiobook which makes the entire story far more personal hearing her voice read aloud her lived memories. Highly recommend.
This book is everything. The narrator, Bahni Turpin, captivated me from the very first sound of her voice (highly recommend the audiobook). I have not experienced a story that has wrenched every part of my heart the way this one has.

I will say if you struggle with the YA feel of the first book, you won’t be disappointed to know that the second book in the series has big NA feels. The ending? Wow. I’ve not been left gobsmacked and needing for the next book like this in a long time. September can’t come soon enough!
