The audiobook was well done. The book ended with very much still up in the air but I am sure that is where book two will begin.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
I  couldn't get into the characters and didn't enjoy having talking birds and things of that sort. Just didn't resonate with me but someone else might really enjoy it.

I found this book to be a long, dark slog through difficult things and a fight against horrible evil people who cloaked their actions in religion. I would have liked to see a bit more success for the heroine. This book pretty much just sets up book 2. I listened to the entire book because I wanted to see what happened, so I gave it 3.5 stars.

I found this book to have a very slow pace. This might be what people refer to as a cozy book. There is sadness in the book.

Interesting book but dense and filled with strife. I wanted more positive things to happen. Still, I listened until the end and was interested to see what happened. The audiobook is well done.

This book was interesting and I wanted to keep reading to see what happened. Some of the decisions made, especially by the FMC, were unwise and I wondered what on earth she was thinking. She put people’s lives in danger by randomly deciding to trust people, Willy Billy.

There is a lot is spice in the book, and some of it happened at times when there was too much peril for it to be believable some of the scenes seemed to have been included just so there was spice in the book and not because it made sense within the storyline.
