I love love love the idea of the story, but the commentary from the main character is so frustrating to read. it reminds me of the way Disney channel stars make jokes at each other. It’s just not meant for me and that’s okay!

cried so hard. descriptions of the relationships between oppressed people and their oppressor is not only accurate but dreadfully painful. i see why this book has so many screaming for it to be read.
