This book was entertaining enough to read. I enjoyed that Maas wrote the chapters from the different characters’ perspectives to prepare the reader for a court of silver flames. It was slower paced but quick in comparison to the others due to its length. I did feel like I was rushing/skimming to power through so I could move on to silver flames.

This book is a great historical/speculative fiction. It’s adventurous, tugs on the heart strings, and makes you want to shake the background/male characters out of frustration. I couldn’t put this book down!

This book is heavy on world building in the beginning and is a little slow until you hit the middle. Once you hit the middle it gets a tad ~spicy~ and then the real adventure begins! “Spoiler” it gives beauty and the beast vibes — captor to lover/Stockholm syndrome “spoiler” !!!

This is one of my favorite books. The healing journey that Feyre goes through after experiencing the trauma from under the mountain is beautiful. The chosen-family aspect of the inner circle is heartwarming, and the enemies to lovers trope between her and Rhysand had swinging my feet and wishing I was her. All I can say is f Tamlin I hate him!!
