Takes the cake for my favorite Emily Henry read!
The way she paints Miles at the beginning makes you confused and maybe a tad weary as to why he’s the love interest. But as the story unfold you grow to love his flaws and understand why he is the way he is.

Some of the plot points were a tad cheesy but Bailey’s writing is always my favorite. I think on occasion I was thrown off by how instantly intense they were with each other. But the beginning of the book, Burgess had me giggling kicking my feet because he was just pining so hard after her!

Just when I thought Kai was my favorite brother…Isaiah Rhodes is the definition of pining. He’s crushed on Kennedy for years aware she was off limits, but once he knew she wasn’t— all bets were off. And one night in Vegas changed it all.
I loved it all, Kennedy breaking down her walls slowly for Isiah while coming to the realization that she’s falling for her husband.
</I don’t know why but Isaiah being color blind was such a genuine character trait to give him. And it was so freaking precious at the end when Kennedy gave him color blind glasses.

Moderate: Toxic relationship, Car accident, Death of parent, and Abandonment

One of my only 5 stars of the year. And for a good reason!
Typically the single dad/ nanny trope isn’t my favorite but I know I LOVE the author’s writing style and I’m so glad I gave this a chance.
Miller is the typical black cat female lead. And from the outside Kai also gives those vibes but once all the walls are broken down he is a golden retriever who’s so loyal it’s only hurting him. I loved the slow burn, the dirty talk, the romantic parts. And the parks with Miller and Max (the son) when it’s Kai’s POV. Because Kai falls so hard so fast for Miller.

Super cute! The plot twist was hidden away quite well, which added to the depth of it all. At some parts it was cheesy but all in all it was a cute rom com with lots of giggles and feet kicking.

I had high hopes because I lovedddd Scoring Forever. But this one was just unrealistic to me I guess, it just felt over dramatized like her image and his as well, they’re college athletes not in the NFL or NWSL. And Mack was a little too much of a pick me girl for me. Just not my cup of tea.
