Nice enough if you are looking for something to start morning musings or meditation with. The first couple of sections are personal, and the best in my opinion. Some days really just feel like they were crowbarred in, like they were not so much inspired as others, in order to have a daily option.
I do think that this is a good starting option. If you have been meditating and doing yoga and other studies for a while, the writings may seem a little rudimentary.

I loved this story, which at its core is about humans, our humanity, the messiness that is life, how there is never enough time, and the beauty (and gifts) that comes from not being gods.
I love the descriptions of always being wowed by the wonders of life, something which would not have been possible if the story had started in modern time, where we are never quite astonished by new inventions, always pushing the boundaries of pleasure, and never gratified unless everything is instant.
It contains all the reasons to live fully, to find new eyes to see, to savour all the minutes we have, and to be patient for things that are truly worthwhile.
I am left pondering questions like:
What would I sell my soul for?
How would I word a deal?
Can you really outwit a god?
And what are the things that matter enough for me to make the deal, or avoid the deal?

A fascinating read! Not comfortable, but so much insight and information of the worst that South Africa, as well as what is now South Africa, and the whole forensic process when it isn’t hyped up for sensation and television. Raw and captivating. For this it gets 4 stars.
It is, in my opinion, not well written. It feels more like a transcript, in fact. Which is not a bad thing, but I don’t think that requires an additional author to be named, whereas this book does.
In any case, absolutely worthwhile if you can wade through the subject matter as well as the writing style, and perhaps if you have a preference for this particular non-fiction genre.
