Went out of my regular reading for this one. Katie Porter is a master at explaining things in a way that is so easy to understand. I enjoyed listening to her read her story about her experience running for congress as a single mother and professor. Especially how she would hold corporations and ceos accountable

Did not finish book. Stopped at 51%.
It’s not bad writing, I’m just having a hard time connecting with the characters and the story.

Not my usual type of read. Very well written, but definitely horror.

Sometimes it’s nice when everything works out.
Great story, where the peril and problems don’t last long enough to stress you out.
Interesting magic and world. Perfect palette cleanser with enough problems to overcome. And sentient talking plants, a rogue librarian, and a jam shop.

I LOVED this book. The look inside each of the characters thoughts, how funny they were, how cute, and how they dealt with actual problems.

It was cute at the beginning. I got mad at the end about the story and not thinking through consequences. It’s like what was considered a big deal was just magically over.

Cute story, very enjoyable read.
The disability representation (diabetic) was one of the ways this book was interesting
