this is a kiran hate account. kiran and deen were cute but their relationship should’ve been fleshed out more - the amount of plot lines within the novel meant that the minor ones became mangled, unfinished, or never addressed; and as a result of this, many plot lines felt rushed. also kiran was literally just a carbon copy of the author.

i truly will never understand why julia quinn chooses to include colonialism and racism in her novels. julia babe it’s fiction it doesn’t have to be historically accurate
