The Elegant Out is Elizabeth Bartasius debut novel. It was a quick read as the book is only 127 pages.  It wasn't my favorite book i found the book choppy, the chapters jumped all over the place at times without any flow or complete thought process. I didn't really enjoy the book or the storyline and i feel like it left off when the story shouldn't have ended.  I give it 2๐ŸŒŸ
This book follows Elizabeth, the main character not the author, in her relatable life problems on her way to discovering who she is and what she really wants in life.
Elizabeth a 36 year old divorcee from an abusive marriage finds herself at a crossroads in her new relationship with Gabe. Gabe was honest from the start of their relationship that he doesn't want to get married or have babies. Elizabeth was ok with this until her son, the only good thing to come out of her abusive marriage, is almost 10 and Elizabeth finds herself wanting to have another baby.  Or at least she thinks she does.  Elizabeth is a writer  struggling to decide if she should publish her work,  on her path to decide if she wants to become a fulltime writer she starts a blog. Elizabeth digs deep into her emotions while contemplating if she is good enough to publish her work,  if she's a good enough mother,  if she is worthy of love, if she should stay with Gabe even though he doesn't want children. Will Elizabeth find the answers she so badly desires and find her way?

Simply amazing definitely gets a 5๐ŸŒŸreview from me.  It was a captivating  fast paced thriller that sucked me right in, i devoured this book in less then a day.

The book is told from multiple points of view. We Start off by meeting Wren the oldest sister of 3 who lives in a cabin in the woods with their mother. Her youngest sister gets so sick the mother leaves the cabin to go into a town to find help, leaving the two older girls instructions not to open the door for anyone.  Its now been 73 days and their mother and sister haven't returned and wren is getting worried. When there is a knock. At the door.
You Then meet  Nicolette a grown women married to a prestiged photographer. They are well off living off a trust fund using the money Brandt makes as extra money.  They can't have children because nicolette had a medical emergency that ended in a hysterectomy.
These two worlds couldn't be any further apart,  i was intrigued to find out how these two stories would combine. They did in a way i didn't see coming.  Then twist after twist the story kept going.
Kent did an amazing job engaging me into the lives of all the characters i felt for Nicolette when she found out her husband's "secret". Kent's character development was spot on and the plots and the way everything tied together,  the twists was just phenomenal, i don't think i have a bad thing to say.

Abby a young women finds herself finally visiting the  doctor after she hasn't been feeling well.  He informs her she's about 2 months pregnant.  Abby finds this completely incomprehensible as she hasn't had sexual intercourse since she broke up with her ex over a year ago.  She returns home in a fog takes some pregnancy tests to make sure the doctor didn't mix up the results and finds out that infact she is pregnant. The wheels start turning in her mind and she thinks back to the new years party she can't quite remember and determines she must of been drugged or so drunk that night that someone at the party must of raped her.  Abby starts getting notes, flowers even texts from the father that is secretly stalking her.  Abby tries to piece together the events of new year's talking to all the men she believes could be the father.  Her sister then mysteriously goes missing and Abby goes into labour and its a crazy messed up ending from here that i'll let you find out by reading the book.
Abby does discover who the father of the baby is i think that was the biggest shocker for me!
