It’s hard to write anything without spoiling something so I’ll be brief. Darrow’s journey is even darker with impossible choices that will affect countless lives throughout the star system.

Pierce Brown has managed to write a sequel that is fast paced, dark and exploring adult themes that really surprised me. The multiple points of view you get throughout the book added some needed depth to the fiction and the characters within.

I can’t wait to read the 5th book in the series which I hope is as stellar as this one.

Excellent fantasy from the king of grim-dark himself Joe Abercrombie. It starts of a bit slow, but the writing and story really gets going if you give it a few chapters. This book has two of my all time favourite characters. Logan Nine-fingers(Barbarian) and Sand Dan Glokta(Crippled inquisitor)
