I loved this book! It was written so well! When is the last time you found a murder mysterious actually funny? My favorite thing about this was the main character constantly breaking the fourth wall and talking to us directly.

I love Fourth Wing and I liked this book. It was a big read. Very long but I still enjoyed it. The cliffhangers and the end always leave me wanting more in the best way. The FMC is infuriating and that’s a theme that doesn’t seem to end, I wish she would learn to communicate better or just let stuff go. The MMC is also infuriating in a way that I understand. The plot is amazing, although I do think there was a lot of unnecessary dialogue that made the book longer.

I picked up this books because I heard so many good things about it. This book had me on my toes and had me swirling with theories and ideas. I read this as a buddy read and it made it so much more enjoyable to talk about theories and discoveries with someone else. The twist was good and not something that was too far fetched. It was very believed. The FMC and MMC were so perplexing. Both of their povs added so many different depths and theories that kept the story going strong. There was no real favorites in this book and that’s a good thing! No character stuck out more than another and that’s what made the plot and finale so believable. It all added up and made sense in the end. I wish the twist was more shocking like other murder mysteries I have read but the build up in this book is what made you stay on your toes and keep your heart rate moving. The jaw drop wasn’t as climatic as I thought it would be for this book.

This was a quick read but a good quick read. It made me angry, sad and laugh in less than 200 pages. I even shed a tear towards the end. The FMC is painfully independent and the MMC is painfully overprotective; they’re both increasingly stubborn. You can imagine the constant power struggle they’re always in. Regardless, the integration of the mortal and magical work was seamless, at it always is with this series. Plus, I love seeing characters from the other books that I’ve grown to love in the timeline but from a different perspective.

This was a good quick read in between my chunkier books. I enjoyed that one of the main characters was non-binary and went by they/them and how that was explored in their sexual relationship. Being a chunkier girl myself, I love the appreciation of the big girls. However, the pacing was extremely fast. I felt like I was reading a really good wattpad story or a really good AO3 story. All in all this was cute monster rom-com.

This was a fun book. The MMC was more intriguing and interesting than the FMC. I listened on audible and think that the narrator made me more intrigued to finish this book. Had I read it on my own then I don’t think I would have finished it. The pacing is crazy fast and sometimes confusing. There were alot of time skips and jumps, even in the middle of chapters. Sometimes I had to go back and reread several paragraphs. It’s like a rom-com (the main characters have okay banter back and forth) but if it was Dexter or something lol
