Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Yes

This was a fascinating book. I enjoyed the premise of the time travel, and the goals to reclaim things lost to ancient history. There is plenty of intrigue to keep your guessing and wanting to keep reading. I think there is plenty of opportunity to expand the series, which I would be one of the bigger supporters of that idea. I'm very glad I picked this up, and here's to hoping there's another in the series in the future!

A good mystery - I think there was a lot of side information that I didn't need, but definitely helps set the relationships around the detective.

Interesting story. I enjoyed the gradual shift between the characters (or at least I chose to see it as gradual, it may have been a normal pace)

This was fun! I liked a different series by her, so I'm glad I finally got to read this one.

I found this book intriguing. It kept me guessing (by design) for a good chunk of the book, and I thought the payoff was a good twist/execution of an idea. I think the book was woven together well, throughout the infinite fates/timelines the characters experience. As always, I wanted more, but I think the story had enough set up to have the character connection be believable. I think I felt the ending could have taken an extra chapter for conclusion, but again, I always want more and it was a solidly entertaining and captivating book.

Might take some of this to think about, might take some of it with a grain of salt

To start, there are a few triggers that may be important to some readers. This book covered a lot of topics that could be concerning for people in sensitive situations. However, I personally felt the parts that I could relate to/experienced personally were done well and with care.

I really felt for the characters and the situations they were in. I understood Riley's motivation to get even, and I hope I would have had her courage had I been in her situation. I think it is important that book ends on a pretty good note, all things considered, and I hope it can spark some conversations and/or help people see some of the harm that can affect others, especially indirectly (and directly too, let's be real).
