I thought this book began slowly. I actually picked this book up at two different points- I DNF'ed it the first time because it was slow and was not grasping my attention. The second time I listened to it in audiobook form and enjoyed it much more!

Rebecca Yarros has done it again! Overwhelmed with emotions throughout this entire book! Several twists and turns that left my jaw dropped. And of course dragons! I need book three to come out soon! Similarly to when I finished Fourth Wing, I now don’t know what to do with myself. Both of these books live in my thoughts constantly.

I have never been so emotionally invested in characters as I was with Fourth Wing. I have also never cried because of the events occurring in a book. Fourth Wing was a phenomenal fantasy with many twists and turns. A secret enemies to lovers. Secrets galore! Emotions! And Dragons!

OMG! This book was amazing! The beginning was a little slow at the start however, there are little sprinkles of things that made me think, "wait what?" that appeared as though they were not going to be brought up again. I loved the details and the alternating timeline of telling the story. Kapelke-Dale kept my curiosity on it's toes through the many twists and turns of Delphine's life choices. Several times my mouth fell agape as I was shocked that not everyone is who they seem to be.
