Her life is as rich and beautiful as it's been difficult and complicated. She reveals everything and a lot of lessons and her growth. Loved the audiobook read by her. I've read several celebrity memoirs, but none were as vulnerable as this one.

A fever dream that I was into until whats-his-name reveals his big plan. We learned nothing of the conspiracy or the forgotten items. Nothing changed, and then the focus shifted on a character who was equally mysterious, but again made no major impact on this strange, clearly painfully small and blissfully unaware society.
I liked the writing and was intrigued by the absurd setting and cult-like belief in Ideath, and was even fine with magical realism - but give me knowledge or closure of how things either came to be or how they’ll end. After all, no utopia can be real - the illusion of one is too fragile.

There was so much build up between Linda and Celia, but then it went nowhere and Linda had no growth. Still really liked the writing and was intrigued the whole time, but wish it had a stronger ending.

Think I’d appreciate it more in person. Only had access to the audiobook but I think I’ll read them from now on because stage directions also add to the full picture

Sometimes it was hard for me to follow and remember how different characters were related to each other, I think because I used an audiobook. Touched by nearly all the stories and makes me wonder what wisdom and culture my mother and grandmother would consider lost on me.
