Extraordinary story on an important topic. However I feel like it could have been edited more carefully. Shari uses a lot of superfluously flowery language and metaphors that feel unnatural at times. The narrative also could’ve exploded the found family dynamics and issues with her father more in different places. The timelines jump a lot.

I really struggled to get through this. But I'll read/watch/listen to anything involving River Song and enjoy it. I might try it again with the audiobook.
