I enjoyed a lot of the build up and the perspective of the main character. Caden knowing he's constantly being objectified and being told if he's not attractive then he's not useful I felt reflected a lot of how much women are expected the same in media.
However, the world building was a bit all over for me. The way the LIC works just didn't click to me and how Juliet and Trevor just so easily accepted everything.
Also the ending was VERY rushed. All this build up of how no one escaped alive and it's just resolved in 50 pages? And then they were just off completely free afterward? No other people in charge came after them or there were no other LIC buildings in other places? It just didn't seem plausible to me that an organization that was so important could be taken down so easily and only existed in one building with one big baddie in charge and no one else.
So yeah, nice build up but I felt cheated by the pay off in a way.
