When I tell you I devoured this book, I mean it. I read the first book and was immediately hooked and had to continue this adventure. I love this story so much. Avery has gotten so much smarter since the first book and is more cunning like how she was originally shown and I am so happy. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I loved it. At times I was nearly crying
when the boys had to deal with their fathers. Especially Grayson!
and sometimes I would be giggling at the smallest little scenes that I loved. I loved the mystery and I felt like each plot twist was really hard to predict. It was so well written and I cannot wait to read the next book!

I didn’t really enjoy this book. I found the main character Rose really annoying. She is clearly smart but through out the book she acts like a small child not to mention she makes the most obvious mistakes like contaminating the evidence! Also this book is not realistic. If it was, Rose would have been dead by now. I just found her really dislikable especially with how she treats other characters in the book as though they aren’t other people. And she is always so confused why they dislike her! That being said, the plot isn’t half bad, I felt like the twists were a bit obvious. I also don’t like how there is this weird part in the book where she wants to kiss her stepbrother? I just found it really weird. I don’t think I will read the rest of the series.

I quite enjoyed this book. I really loved the whole concept but I felt like in some areas it was just missing something. It didn’t really feel like the romance part of the book was really introduced. It kind of felt like it went from nothing to everything. That isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy this book. I loved the characters and the plot was full of little twists! I will read the second book.

This book is an amazing example of the resilience of the human spirit even when everything feels lost and as if there is no point through hope and determination we can overcome anything.

I quite enjoyed reading this book. I felt it was a very interesting and creative story but a little slow paced at some parts.
This book was a really nice reflection on life. I kind of related to Nora Seed, she is just a little bit lost and feels behind the imaginary point where she should be.
I love the idea of being able to explore your regrets and come to the realisation you actually might be better off. I think it was a really interesting concept but I felt like it could have had a better execution at times.

This book was like a much needed warm hug. It is a beautiful short story that made me feel like it is okay to just exist sometimes and that I don’t need a reason to just live my life.
I love the dynamic between Sibling Dex and Mosscap. Mosscap is such an amazing and funny character
There is especially one scene where Mosscap is a bit too enthusiastic over the night Sibling Dex spent at someone else’s house and mentions Mx Amelia’s “entirely pornographic” collection of books which I found hilarious

I love how quiet and beautiful this book feels. It just helped to slow my thoughts.
I will definitely reread this book whenever I just need a reminder that I am allowed to take a break and exist.

I loved this book so much!
This book had me glued to the pages at the start! I wanted to learn absolutely everything and the concept is so good! I love the overall vibes of the book. It had a nice academia and old money feel to it which I love. I was 100% on team Grayson as Jameson just felt like he was using Avery through out the book. I found this a nice easy read with riddles and a dash of romance! I did find Avery a bit annoying. In the  beginning, she was really smart and interesting but as soon as she meets a Hawthorne she acts like an idiot, apart from the key riddle.
I will definitely read the second book!
