I had a huge reading slump, however I adored this book. The writing style was amazing. My favorite character was definitely Elieen.

This book-. I've been in a monstrous reading slump the past month but damn, this book brought me back. I loved the characters and their backstories. I loved this. Though I must say, I was rooting for the man she didn't end up with, I didn't really like who she ended up with.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
I physically couldn't read anymore. For some reason I could not bring myself to read it.

This book was so much fun. The magic system was enjoyable and so was the lore. The plot was engaging however the characters for me fell a little flat, and that was the sole reason why this wasn't a 5* book. It felt like I was being held at an arms distance. All that being said I do hope to continue this series.

I hate to give this book a 2* rating but here we are. The first 100 pages were pure hell (though I must say i did get an ARC), and I loathed the writing, however it did get much better. For the majority of the book it was really mid, but the last fifty pages felt like it was going for eternity. I was going to give this book 3* but i really hated the beginning and the ending. I liked our main character Emma, and some of the side characters like Gordan and his son, but otherwise that's it.

I really don't know how I feel about this book. At the start it was alright, then once I got into it I was really enjoying it, but it dragged and began to annoy me. Not only this but I like slow burns but not that much of a slow burn. The characters were amazing I must give credit for that. I did find the emails between Beth and Jennifer quite enjoyable.

This book-. Taylor Jenkins Reid NEVER disappoints. I genuinely love the Riva siblings, I adore their dynamic and how different they are from each other. Nina, the eldest does anything to make other people happy, namely her siblings, you get to see her struggle between wanting to stick up for herself but not saying anything, she was my favorite character. Then we have Jay who has a massive ego but is protective of the youngest (Kit). Then Hud, who is sweet and kind. He is content in not being in the lime light. Then Kit the youngest, she has an attitude, she isn't afraid to speak her mind. I loved seeing it flick to the past and 'present'. And I really want to know what happened to the siblings after the conclusion of this book (knowing TJR she will hopefully put them in as a cameo in a future novel).

This book-. I loved it. I completely adored these characters and the main group of characters. The way that they interacted with each other was truly amazing. The last 100 pages was a crazy rollercoaster of emotions. The ending was wow. I have no coherent thoughts at all anymore.

YO I actually finished it. I was terrified to start it because it's so long but it was worth it. I was immediately hooked, though I know the beginning is not for everyone. I loved the characters and found Bryce to be a step outside Sarah J. Maas's usual main character which I enjoyed. The last 200 pages were magnificent. We went through so much and it was super climatic, I cried, I laughed and really enjoyed this book. I am aware that not everyone will like this book but that doesn't take away from how much I loved this book. I am excited to see where the next book will bring us.

This book was something... not necessarily a good thing at that. I really didn't like the writing style, but the odd thing is there was a few passages that were actually quite well written, and it makes me quick disappointed seeing her potential. Anyway the characters were very... eh. I literally don't know how I feel abt the characters. The 'love interest' was very undeveloped and I didn't care for most of the characters, apart from Obel. The concept was so interesting but it was not executed well at all. The only redeeming qualities was the ending. I did enjoy the last third of the book. I did get glimpses of good bits but they just weren't long enough. I hope the other books in this series are better but I will not be reading them.
