I wasn't reading much books from Romantic genre this year. I consciously made the decision to allow myself to explore different genre and books, because I've read a lot of romantic novels already. I got this book as a part of my July TBB Box. If I have to break my romantic novel break and read one, I knew it had to be this one not just because it's all over instagram.. please please look at the damn beautiful cover. I'd literally read anything if something looks this beautiful outside.
Enough of my cover bragging, let's talk about this book.
Jenny is a cello prodigy. She is ambitious and would do everything she could to be a successful student and to attend a prestigious music school. Entrenched in her musical studies, Jenny is surprised by a chance encounter with a boy at her uncle’s karaoke joint,named "Jaewoo" who turned out to be a famous K-Pop star That night ends up being one of the most exciting night in Jenny’s life, but Jaewoo left the city soon after the meeting. They both had a sparkling connection. Did they meet again after their first meet? How much of "Jaewoo" being a K-Pop has affected this budding relationship? As the blurb says, "What if finding the love of your life meant risking the life that you loved?"
If you love reading Fantasy romance, If you're someone who don't want normal, but magic.. this is the right book for you. The story revolves not just around the main characters but also the other K-Pop stars and their life which made the story even more engaging. I loved loved reading this book. And I loved Jaewoo and their relationship so freaking much.
Final say, if fun romance, K-Pop, Beautifully written characters and great writing, this is the book you should be reading (well, if you haven't already)

"சிவகாமியின் சபதம்" முடித்த மறு கணமே நான் இதை படிக்க தொடங்கினேன். (not saying for the review sake, I totally did✨) சிவகாமியின் சபதத்தில் எப்படி பல்லவர்கள் ஆட்சி மேம்பட்டது என்பதை கல்கி எழுதியிருப்பார்.
அப்போதைய சோழ மன்னன் பார்த்திபனுக்கும் நரசிம்மவர்மன் பல்லவருக்கும் நடந்த போரில் பார்த்திபன் இறந்து போகிறார். அதனை தொடர்ந்து பார்த்திப மன்னரின் மகன் விக்ரமன் பல்லவர்களுக்கு எதிராக போர் தொடுக்கிறார். அதன் பின் நடப்பது என்ன என்பது தான் கதை. பார்த்திபன் என்னும் சோழ அரசனின் கனவு அவரின் புதல்வர் எவ்வாறு நிறைவேற்றுகிறார் என்பதே "பார்த்திபன் கனவு".
பிற்காலத்தில் சோழ சாம்ராஜ்யம் எப்படி பரந்து விரிந்து இருந்தது என்பது நாம் அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே! ஆனால் நரசிம்ம பல்லவர் காலத்தில் பல்லவ சாம்ராஜ்யம் கலை, வீரம் என அனைத்திலும் சிறந்து விளங்கினர். அப்படி இருந்த பல்லவர்களிடம் இருந்து எவ்வாறு சோழ தேசம் சுதந்திர ஆட்சி பெற்றது என்பதை பற்றியும், பல்லவர் சோழர்களின் நட்புறவு பற்றியும் இந்த கதையில் அறியலாம்.
கல்கியால் மட்டுமே இத்தனை அழகாக எதையும் எழுத முடியும். கடந்த மூன்று மாதங்களாக கல்கியின் படைப்பை ஒலி வடிவிலும் எழுத்து வடிவிலும் படித்த படியே கடக்கிறேன். ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் இந்த பிரம்மிப்பு போகவே இல்லை.
ஏன் பல்லவர் சோழர் காலத்தில் பிறக்காமல் போனேன்! அல்லது கல்கி வாழ்ந்த காலத்திலாவது பிறந்திருக்கக் கூடாதா என்ற ஏக்கத்தை தவிர்க்காமல் இருக்க முடியவில்லை. இருப்பினும் இப்போது இந்த நிமிடம் கல்கியின் எழுத்தை படிக்கும் பேறு பெற்றதையெண்ணி அமைதி கொள்கிறேன்.

I've met many wonderful writers while compiling my Anthology book, "Until then there's coffee". One among such wonderful writers,who also later became my good friend-Padmini Peteri. The word "Fan" wouldn't justifice the love I've for her writing, especially her poems. This is her second book. How on earth I'd miss reading this!
This book is full of poems which is something you have always wanted to tell yourself, which is something your heart always wanted to hear,but you haven't yet. I was literally annotating most part of this book, picking one favorite poem is a tedious task.
The language is simple and well written. Her words indeed has the power to heal a broken heart and a broken soul.
Even though it's a short book, give yourself a break after reading each poems and let your heart feel all those feelings, Manifest for a better you, manifest for a better future self.
Do read this book, because your heart needs it❤️

பல்லவ காலத்தில் நடந்த உண்மை கதை-சில முக்கிய கற்பனை கதாபாத்திரங்கள், கலை, காதல், வீரம், பக்தி, துரோகம் என ராஜாக்கள் காலத்தை அப்படியே கண் முன்னே நிறுத்துகிறார் கல்கி. ஏழாம் நூற்றாண்டில் நடந்த புகழ் பெற்ற பல்லவர்-வாதாபி போரை பத்தொன்பதாம் நூற்றாண்டில் கல்கி எழுதியிருக்கிறார். சிலிர்ப்பூட்டும் மொழிநடை.

இதை படித்த பிறகு மாமல்லபுரம் மறுபடியும் போக வேண்டும் என்ற ஆவல் எழுந்துள்ளது. கலைக்காக உயிரையே விட துணிந்த மன்னர்கள் வாழ்ந்த தமிழகத்தில் நாம் வாழ பெற்றது எத்தனை பெரும் பாக்கியம்.
I read this book along with storytel narration. Deepika Arun and Veera's Narration was brilliant. I could remember every character, every voice even after 20 days of finishing the book! All credits to their wonderful narration.
