In this dark dystopian world, this world used slaves to solve the Great Depression. Ever since then slaves have just been a normal part of life. Our rich fmc has never seen slaves as nothing but items until recently. She begins to question how society is being run when her father brings home a new slave. A very hot, intelligent slave that she is attracted to. Only problem is free women can never be touched by slaves.

This story has a delicious slow burn created by a Romeo and Juliet love story. The world building is amazing in this book and there is a lot of intrigue.

I did feel when we got to any type of intimate scenes, the writing was very confusing. We were in the character’s stream of consciousness when things were happening and I spent a lot of time going, what’s happening? Are we kissing? I also found the last 30% of the book not as clear as the rest of the book. I am still very interested in seeing where this story is going because I think there is a lot of potential.

This book was a wild ride. I loved that I had no idea where things were going from one page to another and then we get to the last 70% and buckle up. Woooo boy. I don’t even want to talk much on the plot since I think going in blind is a must but definitely check the trigger warnings. However I will say that FMC has no memories and has a very twisted history with MMC that they have to work through in very interesting ways. I’m currently learning where my desires and boundaries lay in the kink world and this one took me to my edge in the best way. Thank you for letting me arc read this! I did have a good time reading this.

To start off: I was super excited to read this book as I have begun diving into darker romances. That being said, this one was not my jam and it’s ok this kink wasn’t for me but it might be for someone else. So make sure to check the trigger warnings.

The first half of this book was really exciting if not really dark. However my problem with this book became the miscommunication amongst characters became so bad that I as a reader got confused. The convoluted plans didn’t make sense to me and then the reason why we didn’t go through with them made less sense. The stakes didn’t make sense nor did I know what they were half the time. Overall I found the story confusing and the fmc and unreliable narrator which I hate.

So this book was not for me unfortunately but I’m still thankful I got to be an arc reader.

This book was so cute and a fast read. I loved the characters. Callie and Sebastian are so freaking adorable. And that pantry scene! The PANTRY SCENE!! (Swoons)The pantry scene is what cemented my love of this story. The yearning, the tension…. So good. I loved the ending and I loved how this story has women supporting women. Loved it.

Thank you Amy for letting me arc read for you. This was a bubbly glass of champagne I devoured!

This book is so much fun and I’m mad I slept on it for so long. I am 💯 not a hockey girlie but after this book I could be.

This why choose book had me questioning myself in the best ways. I have never been so in love with a Female main character as I was Rachel. I loved her as much as the men did. And as the book was going, I doubted how the two main love groups would get together but they did. Im also no stranger to a why choose where multiples plan along but I learned things in this book. I felt darn right vanilla after reading some of these scenes. It was soooo good and soooo spicy.

This is a cute small town, sports romance. I loved Wild Bluffs and would love to return to this small town again. The main characters have known each other for many years due to the friendship of the MC to the brother of the Fmc. They clearly have had tension for many years that need some resolution before they explode. I liked their chemistry and banter but I was bothered by the fact this was labeled enemies to lovers, since enemies is a long stretch to describe them.

The development of their love story was fun to read and I liked their growth. My favorite thing was how they annotate the romance books they read together. I want to do that in my real life.

This was such a fun quick holiday read. If you love watching a certain British Baking Show and have wanted those vibes but make it spicy, that is what this book is.

A contestant, in love with the grumpy baking show host for many years gets to meet him in person. And he falls immediately. So much fun and so much spice.

I am so glad to be back in Dream Harbor with our new cast, an FMC trying to start over with a heart of gold and a cinnamon roll MMC that can’t seem to stop trying to help our FMC out. Add in some Christmas spirit, a snowstorm and the cutest romance read. This is the last of my Christmas Reads and I am glad I saved this for last.

This story was very riveting. The journey of the fmc was full of twists and turns that were steeped in a conversation of what it love and the many facets of love all under the guise of trials. I found the discussion of love and aspects of love to be done very well in this story.

This is also a very steamy book. I enjoyed the spice a lot in this story but did find the 70% multiple sex scene a little long and too much. But I think it was mostly because the plot was very much plotting and I wanted to keep going on with the story instead of chapters of edging and foreplay. After that though the last 25% was thrilling. Though I was not expecting a book 2.
